¿Os imagináis con qué idioma vamos a estrenar el tema de los lunes? Por el título, quizá lo hayáis averiguado ya. Stien den Hollander, conocida artísticamente como S10, es una cantante, rapera y compositora neerlandesa cuya trayectoria comenzó en 2016. S10 fue la representante de los Países Bajos en 2022 en Eurovisión, interpretando un tema en neerlandés por primera vez desde 2010.

La salud mental es un tema subyacente en su música. En De Diepte, S10 reflexiona sobre los momentos más oscuros de su vida, que había dejado atrás sin haber dedicado el tiempo necesario para meditar sobre ellos. En una entrevista, contó que su parte favorita de la canción es la primera línea tras acabar el primer estribillo, que viene a decir "me escondo bajo la mesa y espero que me encuentres", y explicó que, en su vida, cuando se esconde no es para perderse, sino para ser encontrada.

Quizá ya habéis caído en que 2022 fue el año en que enviamos a Chanel y su espléndido equipo de baile con SloMo y quedamos en un asombroso top 3 en Eurovisión, mientras que la canción de Ucrania ganó el certamen por el apoyo masivo del público. Países Bajos, que justamente actuó en medio de las dos, no llegó tan alto y tuvo que conformarse con el undécimo puesto. La mención especial se la lleva In Corpore Sano, la actuación con la que Konstrakta representó a Serbia lanzando una potente crítica a la sanidad y ganándose el quinto puesto.

He preferido enseñaros la versión en directo de De Diepte en vez de la de estudio por la puesta en escena, donde se aprecia cómo S10 siente y se emociona mientras canta, aunque quizá la ejecución no sea perfecta. Por desgracia, cuando estuve hablando con gente sobre Eurovisión en aquel momento, la mayoría no le dio demasiada importancia. En cualquier caso, si te ha gustado la canción, echa un vistazo al videoclip oficial (me encanta en torno al 1:30).

Parece que en su momento se generó cierto debate sobre si el "dadada" antes del estribillo ayuda o es contraproducente. ¿Qué pensáis? ¿Vais a ver Eurovisión este año?

Do you guess which will be the first language for Monday's topic? Perhaps you already figured out after reading the title. Stien den Hollander, professionally known as S10, is a Dutch singer, rapper and songwriter whose career begun in 2016. S10 represented the Netherlands in Eurovision 2022, playing a song in Dutch for the first time since 2010.

Mental health is an underlying topic throughout her music. In De Diepte, S10 reflects about the darkest moments in her life, which were left behind without having spent the necessary amount of time to meditate about them. During an interview, she mentioned that her favourite verse was the first one after the end of the first chorus, which says "I hide under the table and I hope you find me", and explained that, in her life, she does not hide to get lost, but to get found.

2022 was also the year when Spain sent Chanel and her splendid dance team to perform SloMo, which ended up in an astonishing top 3 in Eurovision, whilst Ukraine's song won the contest thanks to the massive support from the public. The Netherlands, performing just in the middle of the two, did not get that far and had to be satisfied with the eleventh place. Special mention goes to In Corpore Sano by Konstrakta, with a powerful critique of healthcare, which gave Serbia the fifth place.

I prefer to show the live version rather than the studio one because of the performance, where S10 manifests her feelings and emotions while singing, despite it might be not perfectly executed. Sadly, when I talked to some people about this one two years ago, most did not care much about it.
