Sirenia es una banda noruega de metal gótico, fundada en 2001 por Morten Veland. Creo que es el grupo que conozco que más ha cambiado de cantante a lo largo de los años: ha tenido 5 en total, contando a la actual, Emmanuelle Zoldan. Además, actualmente también cuentan con Nils Courbaron y Michael Brush. Utilizan instrumentos melódicos, sintetizadores y guitarras distorsionadas con voces femeninas, voces masculinas con guturales, voces masculinas limpias, un coro y violines. Sus letras tratan sobre la existencia humana, las emociones y los estados mentales.
Sirenia casi no tiene canciones instrumentales además de Seven Sirens and a Silver Tear, pero podrían perfectamente añadir más a su repertorio, porque esta les quedó increíble. Y es de las que también clasificaría como épica.
Yo conocí su maravillosa música gracias a The Other Side, y posteriormente descubrí otras joyas como Save Me from Myself, Lost In Life o Chains. Los últimos álbumes también están muy bien, pero no tengo canciones concretas en mente que compartir. Ah, si os fijáis veréis que no solamente las sirenas son un tema recurrente en su música, sino también el número siete.

Sirenia is a Norwegian gothic metal band, founded in 2001 by Morten Veland. Among all the bands I know, I would say this is the one which has changed its singer the most over the years: they have had 5 in total, including the current one, Emmanuelle Zoldan. In addition, they currently have Nils Courbaron and Michael Brush, too. They use melodic instrumentals, synthesizers, and distorted guitars with female vocals, male death vocals, clean male vocals, a choir, and violins. The lyrics are concerned with human existence, emotion, and mental states.
Sirenia has almost no instrumental songs besides Seven Sirens and a Silver Tear, but they could perfectly add more to their collection, because this one turned out amazing. And it is one that I would also classify as epic.
I got to know their wonderful music thanks to The Other Side, and later discovered other gems like Save Me from Myself, Lost In Life or Chains. The latest albums are very good as well, but I don't have specific songs in mind to share. Ah, if you look closely you will see that not only mermaids are a recurring theme in their music, but also the number seven.
